The job
A build pad carved out of an operating retail development — traffic, parking and neighbouring stores live on every side of the pour.
- 01 — What was asked for
A Swiss Chalet location in Saint John needed its structural concrete package on a pad inside a working retail development: strip footings, frost walls, column piers and the building slab.
- 02 — What we did
Footings and frost walls were formed and tied in trench, with column piers formed off the same run. The slab went in as a boom-pump placement and was floated and finished the same day.
- Footings, frost walls and column piers formed in one sequence
- Slab placed by boom pump and power-floated the same day
- Work run inside an operating retail site
- 03 — How it finished
Work is underway as of August 2026. This page will carry the finished numbers — volume, programme and handover — when the package closes out.
